What we build
Nine services, led by the three that make up most of our work. We are set up for substantial projects — additions, new builds, ADUs, and full renovations — rather than small one-off repairs.
Building here since 2017
A building contractor, not a middleman
GIL Renovation Services has been building in Northeast Florida since 2017, completing 30 to 40 residential and commercial projects a year. We hold Florida licence CBC1269967 as a Certified Building Contractor, and we carry one-year workmanship warranty on every job.
That licence class matters for what we can take on. It is not a handyman operation bolted onto a paint crew — we do structural work, we pull our own permits, and our licensed plumbing and electrical subcontractors pull their trade permits under our master permit.
What we do not do is roofing or handyman work. We would rather tell you that than take a job we are not the right company for.

Why homeowners stay with us
Someone always answers the phone
At most contracting companies, one person runs the job sites and manages the customers. That is exactly why homeowners so often cannot reach their contractor once the work starts — the person you need is on a roof, under a house, or three jobs away.
We are built differently on purpose. Our business partner runs the job sites, which frees Cesar Perdomo to manage customers and nothing else. You are not competing with a job site for his attention, because managing you is the job.
No run-arounds. No no-shows. Someone is always reachable by phone.

How a project runs, start to finish
Seven steps, and you always know which one you are on. The full version, including how material selection works, is on our process page.
- 1
Get in touch
Submit the form or call us. Either reaches the same place, and someone actually picks up.
- 2
We follow up
A team member calls you back to gather details about the project before anyone drives out, so the consultation is not spent on basics.
- 3
On-site consultation
We come to you, take measurements, and talk through the full scope in person. Free, and with no obligation.
- 4
Written proposal within 48 hours
You get a comprehensive written proposal — scope and price laid out in full — within two days of the consultation.
- 5
Accept and schedule
Once you accept the proposal the project goes on the schedule with a real date, not a vague window.
- 6
50% deposit, 50% on completion
Half on scheduling, half when the work is finished. No progress-payment surprises in between.
- 7
Delivered on time
We finish on or ahead of schedule, and hand over your one-year workmanship warranty at completion.
Design help, without the homework
Choosing finishes is the part most homeowners look forward to and then find exhausting. Through our partnership with Floor & Decor you sit down with an in-store designer and work through colours, tile, and finishes properly.
Your selections go onto a form under our account, and from there we purchase, pick up, and deliver everything to the job site. You make the decisions; we handle the orders, the collection, and the returns.
What a bathroom actually costs
We would rather give you a real number than make you ask. A small bathroom of roughly 7x5 typically runs $10,000 to $14,000 and takes about seven days including permitting.
A master bathroom typically runs $17,000 to $35,000 over two to three weeks. Both ranges include materials. They are typical ranges rather than quotes — your written proposal gives you the real figure within 48 hours of the consultation.
Licensed & insured
Florida Certified Building Contractor CBC1269967, active through August 2028, with $1,000,000 general liability and a $2,000,000 aggregate.
Permits handled
We pull and manage every permit. Our licensed plumbing and electrical subcontractors pull their trade permits under our master permit.
One-year warranty
Every project carries a one-year workmanship warranty across the whole job — not just selected trades.
Where we work
We build across Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties, with Jacksonville as our largest market. We are based in Orange Park, which keeps most of Northeast Florida inside a comfortable drive.
Questions we get before every project
These are the five things homeowners ask us most before hiring anyone.
It depends on the size and scope of the work, so we price every project individually after seeing it in person. As a concrete reference point, a small bathroom of roughly 7x5 typically runs $10,000 to $14,000, and a master bathroom typically runs $17,000 to $35,000, with materials included in both. Your written proposal arrives within 48 hours of the on-site consultation and lays out the full scope and price, so you are never comparing guesses. Estimates and consultations are free.
We provide them. Through our partnership with Floor & Decor you work directly with an in-store designer to choose colours, tile, and finishes, and your selections go onto a form under our account. From there we purchase, pick up, and deliver everything to the job site. You get to make the fun decisions without managing orders, deliveries, or returns.
Yes. GIL pulls and handles all permits for your project — that is part of what you are hiring a licensed contractor to do, and it is included. Our licensed plumbing and electrical subcontractors pull their own trade permits under our master permit. You do not need to contact the building department or schedule an inspection yourself.
We give you a schedule in the written proposal and we finish on or ahead of it. A small bathroom is usually about 7 days including permitting; a master bathroom is typically 2 to 3 weeks. Larger work such as an addition or new construction runs longer and is scheduled specifically for your project. We complete 30 to 40 projects a year, so our timelines come from experience rather than optimism.
Cesar Perdomo, and he manages customers exclusively. This is the structural difference at GIL: our business partner runs the job sites, so Cesar is never pulled onto a roof or under a house when you call. At most contracting companies one person does both jobs, which is exactly why homeowners cannot reach their contractor mid-project. Someone here is always reachable by phone — no run-arounds and no no-shows.
