What homeowners say about working with us
Dozens of five-star reviews on Google, earned across Northeast Florida since 2017. Here is what we hold ourselves to on every project — and where to read the reviews themselves.
A reputation built one project at a time
GIL Renovation Services has been building in Northeast Florida since 2017, completing 30 to 40 residential and commercial projects a year, and the reviews have followed from that rather than from any campaign to collect them.
We are a small enough company that every project has the owner’s attention and large enough to take on additions, new construction, and whole-home renovations under Florida licence CBC1269967 as a Certified Building Contractor. That combination is most of what people end up writing about.
Rather than reprint what customers have written, we would rather send you to the source and tell you plainly what we hold ourselves to.

You are not just buying a remodel — you are buying an experience
That is how Cesar Perdomo describes the business, and it is a fair summary of what we are actually selling. Two contractors can build the same bathroom to the same standard, and the one you recommend to a neighbour is the one who answered the phone, told you the truth about the schedule, and left the house liveable while the work was going on.
The build quality is the price of entry. The experience around it is the part homeowners remember, and it is the part we have deliberately structured the company around.
What we are known for
These are the commitments behind the reviews, stated in our own words so you can hold us to them. Every one of them is something we do on purpose, not something that happens to work out.
Attention to detail
The parts of a job most people never see are the parts that decide whether it still looks right in five years. We would rather take the extra day than hand over something that only reads as finished from across the room.
Communication that does not go quiet
The single most common complaint about contractors is silence in the middle of a project. We tell you where things stand before you have to ask, including when the news is a delay.
Someone always reachable
Our business partner runs the job sites so Cesar Perdomo manages customers exclusively. At most companies one person does both, which is exactly why homeowners cannot reach their contractor mid-job.
No run-arounds, no no-shows
If we say we are coming on Tuesday, we come on Tuesday. If something changes, you hear it from us first rather than working it out from an empty driveway.
Finished on or ahead of schedule
The schedule goes in the written proposal, and we finish on it or ahead of it. Completing 30 to 40 projects a year is what makes those dates come from experience rather than optimism.
A project you are not managing yourself
We pull the permits, our licensed plumbing and electrical subcontractors pull theirs under our master permit, and we purchase, collect, and deliver your materials. You make the decisions; we do the running around.

Read the reviews on Google
We have dozens of five-star reviews from homeowners across Jacksonville and the surrounding counties. We have chosen not to reprint them here — a review reads better in the words of the person who wrote it, and on Google you can see who left it and when, which is worth more than a quote on our own website.
Just finished a project with us? Leaving an honest review on Google is the single most useful thing you can do for a small local company.
Licensed & insured

Permits handled
We pull and manage every permit. Our licensed plumbing and electrical subcontractors pull their trade permits under our master permit.
One-year warranty
Every project carries a one-year workmanship warranty across the whole job — not just selected trades.
Checking us out before you call
Reviews are one input. Licensing, insurance, and how the money works are the others — and you should be asking every contractor you are considering for all four.
Yes. GIL Renovation Services holds Florida licence CBC1269967 as a State-Certified Building Contractor, active through August 2028, and carries $1,000,000 in general liability coverage with a $2,000,000 aggregate. You are welcome to verify the licence yourself on the Florida DBPR website before you sign anything. We recommend doing exactly that with any contractor you are considering.
Yes — every project carries a one-year workmanship warranty covering the entire job, not just selected trades. If something we built is not right within that year, we come back and correct it. Manufacturer warranties on materials and fixtures run separately and are usually longer; we hand over that documentation at completion.
A 50% deposit is due when you accept the proposal and schedule the project, with the remaining 50% due on completion. There are no progress-payment surprises in between and no charge for the estimate or the consultation. Financing is also available through Houzz if you would rather spread the cost.
