Licensed & insuredClick to Schedule a Free Estimate

Last updated: August 2026

This policy explains exactly what GIL Renovation Services does with the information you give us through this website. It is written to be read, not skimmed past — if you fill in our estimate form, this is the whole story of where those details go.

GIL Renovation Services is operated by D'GIL Renovation House LLC, a State-Certified Building Contractor CBC1269967 based in Orange Park, FL and working across Jacksonville and Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties. This policy covers this website only. It does not govern the separate written proposal and contract you sign if you hire us for a project.

It also serves as our cookie policy. If you followed the link in the cookie banner, the section you want is Cookies, consent, and analytics.

What we collect

We collect two things: the details you type into our estimate form, and a small amount of technical information that comes with any web request. We do not buy personal data from anyone, and we do not build profiles of visitors who never contact us.

Information you give us

Our estimate form asks for your name, email address, phone number, and the street address of the project. Those four are required, because without them we cannot call you back or work out what the job involves. The form also has optional boxes for city, state, and zip, the service you are interested in, and a message describing your project. Leaving the optional fields blank never blocks a submission.

If you call or email us instead, we hold whatever you choose to tell us in that conversation, for the same purposes described below.

Information collected automatically

When you submit the form we also record four pieces of context alongside it: the page you were on when you submitted, the referring website that sent you to us (if any), your browser’s user agent string, and your IP address. This is attribution and security data. It tells us which pages and which advertising actually produce enquiries, and the IP address is what lets us rate-limit automated spam before it reaches the inbox.

Why we ask for your street address

Because the alternative is a phone call that wastes your time. Renovation, addition, and construction work is priced against a specific property, and almost nothing about a project can be assessed without knowing which property it is.

The address tells us two things immediately. First, it lets us scope the work — the age, size, and type of the home shape the answer before anyone visits. Second, it tells us which county issues the permits. Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties each have their own building department, their own submission requirements, and their own review timelines, and we pull the permits ourselves, so we need to know whose rules apply before we can give you a real date range.

We use the address to prepare and deliver your estimate. We do not use it for advertising, we do not append it to purchased data, and we do not pass it to anyone outside the parties named in this policy.

How we use your information

We use what you send us for these purposes and no others:

  • To respond to your enquiry and follow up for any details we still need.
  • To schedule and carry out an on-site consultation, and to prepare your written proposal.
  • To communicate with you about your project — by phone, text, or email, whichever you have given us.
  • To keep an internal record of enquiries, so nothing gets lost between a phone call and a site visit.
  • To understand which pages and which advertising bring in genuine enquiries, so we spend the marketing budget on the things that work.
  • To detect and block automated spam submissions.
  • To meet our record-keeping and legal obligations as a licensed contractor.

We do not send marketing newsletters from this website, and submitting the form does not add you to a mailing list.

Where it is stored and who sees it

Every submission travels along two paths at once, on purpose.

It is written to our database first — a hosted Postgres databaseprovided by Neon, running on servers in the United States — and then emailed to us as a notification. Storing before sending is deliberate: an email outage cannot lose your enquiry, because it is already saved. Notification emails are delivered through Resend, our transactional email provider.

A copy of that notification also goes to our marketing agency, which built and maintains this website and supports us with lead handling and advertising measurement. They are bound to use it only for those purposes and only on our instruction.

Beyond that, the people who see your details are the members of the GIL Renovation Services team who are working on your enquiry, and — where a project needs them — the licensed subcontractors, suppliers, or design partners actually involved in your job. We will also disclose information where the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Our website, database, and email providers process this information as service providers on our behalf. We do not authorise any of them to use your details for their own marketing.

Cookies, consent, and analytics

This site asks before it measures anything. The banner in the bottom-left corner of your screen is set to deny by default: until you choose Accept, non-essential measurement tags stay in a denied state and nothing optional runs. Declining costs you no functionality whatsoever — every page, every form, and every phone link works identically either way.

What is stored on your device

Two small values are saved in your browser’s local storage. They stay on your device, are not transmitted to us, and are not advertising identifiers:

  • Your cookie choice — whether you accepted or declined, so the banner does not ask again on every page.
  • Your accessibility preferences — the settings you turn on in the accessibility panel (text size, contrast, reduced motion and the rest), so the site still looks the way you set it the next time you visit.

Analytics

Where analytics is enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and how many enquiries result. It is configured with consent mode, so the tags remain denied until you accept the banner. Google Analytics may set its own cookies on your device once you accept, and its use of that data is governed by Google’s own privacy terms. We use it to understand traffic in aggregate, not to identify individual people.

Changing your mind

Clearing your browser’s site data for this website removes both stored values and the banner will ask again from a clean slate. You can also block or delete cookies entirely in your browser settings; this site is built to work with them switched off. Most browsers additionally offer a “Do Not Track” signal — there is still no agreed standard for how sites should respond to it, so we do not claim to honour it, and we instead give you the explicit accept-or-decline choice described above.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept for as long as they are useful to the relationship, and then no longer than we have a reason to hold them. In practice that means an enquiry that does not turn into a project is retained for a few years so that we can pick up the conversation if you come back to us, and records connected to work we actually carried out are kept longer — a warranty claim, a permit question, or a tax or insurance obligation can all reach back years after a job is finished.

You do not have to wait for any of that. If you would like your details removed sooner, ask us and we will remove them, subject only to anything we are legally required to keep.

Your choices, and how to be deleted

Email info@gilrenovationservices.com and tell us what you want done. You can ask us to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is wrong.
  • Delete your enquiry and the details attached to it.
  • Stop contacting you, by any or all methods.

Write from the email address you contacted us with where you can, or include the phone number you gave us, so we can find the right record and be confident we are not handing your information to somebody else. There is no charge for any of this. If we have to keep something — a record tied to permitted work, for example — we will tell you what and why rather than quietly retaining it.

You can also reach us by phone on (904) 790-1832 during business hours if you would rather talk to a person.

We do not sell your information

We have never sold personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. Your name, phone number, email, and project address are not a product. The only parties who receive them are the ones named in this policy: our own team, the service providers who run our website, database, and email, our marketing agency, and the licensed trades and partners actually working on your project.

Security

This website is served entirely over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Submissions are stored in a managed database with access restricted to authorised accounts, and the internal export of that data is protected behind a separate access token and blocked from search engines.

No system connected to the internet can be called perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can tell you honestly is that we collect only what we need, we restrict who can reach it, and we do not move it around any more than the work requires.

Children’s privacy

This website is intended for property owners and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their details, email info@gilrenovationservices.com and we will delete the record.

Links to other websites

Some pages link out — to our social media profiles, to a financing application, to a materials partner, or to a map. Once you follow a link off this site you are on somebody else’s website, under their privacy policy, and we have no control over what they collect. We would encourage you to read the policy of any site you give information to, ours included.

Changes to this policy

If what we do with your information changes, this page changes with it, and the “last updated” date at the top moves. We will not quietly broaden how your details are used and leave the date sitting where it was. Material changes will be reflected here before they take effect.
